The Cloud Security Sales & Success Specialist is responsible for developing relationships that will drive customer retention and growth across your assigned base of cloud security customers. In this role, you will run pro-active and structured adoption and expansion motions with all your assigned customers with a view to ensuring that each customer see s the value of their service, has a good working relationship with Symantec are fully aware of additional features and services that may compliment their current portfolio and/or deliver additional value. In addition, you will react in a timely fashion to off-cycle challenges that need to be addressed to ensure the success and growth of your customers.

You will have deep knowledge and expertise on product, process, GTM strategy, competitive insights and will help to develop, deliver and drive our strategic initiatives for Symantec s cloud business. You will develop strong relationships and work closely with supporting teams including Product Management, Order to Cash, Tech Support, Customer Care, Sales Ops, Vendor Organization(s), Channel, Inside and Field Sales. Symantec cloud services that you will be an expert on will include: Email Security.cloud (ESS.cloud), PBE Advanced, Email Threat Detection and Response Cloud, Web.cloud (legacy), Web Security.cloud (BC WSS), Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), Email Isolation, Web Isolation, Validation and ID Protection (VIP), SEP Mobile, SEP Cloud. Your expertise on these products, and others in the future, will allow you to drive success and growth across your customer base and the broader sales organization.


* Develop, drive and deliver the desired results against our strategic initiatives and campaigns across the Symantec Cloud business

* Make strategic outbound calls to assigned customers to drive adoption, business value and client satisfaction with the goal of identifying up-sell and cross-sell opportunities and ensuring subscription renewal

* Directly engage with customers and partners to deliver desired outcomes and maximize success for all parties

* Leverage internal tools and data to fully understand and research all details relating to your assigned customers

* Maintain an accurate view of customer information, health and status in our systems

* Drive awareness, understanding, visibility and execution on the opportunity within the Symantec Cloud business (whitespace identification, up-sell / x-sell)

* Collaborate with supporting teams, Reps, Managers, Vendor Organization(s) and Channel to optimize the sales processes as it relates to Symantec Cloud services

* Build strong relationships with customers and channel partners to ensure the best possible experience and outcomes when dealing with Symantec Cloud Services

* Grow to be a thought leader, trusted advisor and spokesperson for Symantec Cloud Services both internally within Symantec and externally with our customers and channel partners

* Develop and keep up to date product, value prop and market knowledge work with product management/marketing to ensure that you are fully able to articulate the features, advantages and value of our Cloud Security Services to your customers


* Proven ability to be key part of a high-performance team strong personal sales capabilities, account management and channel management experience across all business segments

* Ability, motivation and desire to leverage your own skills and knowledge to enable, support and drive the success of a broader sales team

* Highly competitive that is both goal and achievement oriented also focused on supporting peers

* Confidence to become a thought leader and expert in your area with the creativity to develop, drive and take ownership of key initiatives that will deliver successful results for the business

* Desire to achieve retention and sales results with a focus across the Symantec Cloud services portfolio and opportunity set

* Must be able to self-manage and effectively work without daily supervision. Ability to influence people to elicit high quality output and work in a fast-paced environment

* Effective verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to build out strong business relationships

* Customer focused mentality whilst being assertive, confident, organized and persistent

* Develop an ability to effectively articulate the value of Symantec s Product and Service offerings

* Negotiation skills and ability to effectively handle objections within complex Enterprise Organizations

* Self-motivated proven track record of exceeding bookings targets in a service sales environment (preferred)

* Proven ability in Enterprise customer / Partner account planning and sales execution


* SaaS / Cloud services knowledge and sales experience ideally in the cyber security space

* Proficiency in technology and CRM (or ability to quickly learn these proficiencies)

* Proficient in the use of E-Learning tools, development and implementation

* Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, Power Point, Project, Visio, Outlook, SharePoint

* Outstanding verbal, written and presentation skills are a must

* Strong interpersonal skills

* Previous experience in a sales or renewals quota carrying role
