            • ##### Work scheduleFull-TimeLocation2 vacancies in the following location:-Springfield, ORRelocation expenses reimbursedNoTelework eligibleNo- DutiesSummaryThis National Guard position is for a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (TITLE32), Position Description Number D1259000 (GS-07) / D1255000(GS-09) and is part of the OR FMS 5, National Guard.Learn more about this agencyResponsibilitiesAs a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (TITLE 32), GS-1152-7/9, The purpose ofthis position is to perform maintenance production management, toachieve or maintain desired production levels, to serve as anequipment readiness expert for units supported by the facility, andto provide technical guidance and oversight to a lower-gradedProduction Controller.(1) Establishes plans and schedules for maintenance and repair,using multiple process production methods and procedures for avariety of vehicles and equipment such as combat vehicles,heavy-duty engineering and mobile equipment, tracked vehicles, towedand self-propelled artillery, communications and electronicequipment, guided missile systems, and small arms. Implementsmaintenance plans and monitors progress of accomplishments. Usingreadiness, production and management reports available from thecurrent automation support program and/or manual system, providesstatus of equipment, maintenance actions in progress, and locationof equipment as required or requested. Responsible for data input ofwork order information, status changes, supply updates, and otherpertinent information. Makes on-the-spot adjustments to repairpriorities necessitated by unscheduled maintenance requirements.(2) Ensures Modified Table of Organization and Equipment (MTO&E) orTable of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) reportable Line ItemNumbers (LIN) are properly managed, reported and accounted for withrespect to readiness reports, property accountability reports, andsystem management. Based on guidance received, prioritizes resourcesto ensure the highest level of readiness in support of training andmobilization requirements of supported units. Ensures that ArmyMateriel Status System (AMSS) equipment readiness reports arecorrect and submitted in a timely manner to meet Department of theArmy (DA) reporting suspense.(3) Programs workload, shop space, and available personnel on ashort and long-term basis. Conducts initial and long range planningon matters which include multiple process production, maintenanceoperations, equipment readiness, including mechanical skills,availability of test and diagnostic equipment, repair parts, annualtraining requirements, mobilization requirements; and other factorsinfluencing the repair, modification, and maintenance of equipmentand readiness reporting.(4) Ensures that unit Class 9 (CL IX) accounts are funded, budgeted,and executed to maximize readiness. Performs demand analysis on unitCL IX expenses to determine proper stockage to sustain unit missionrequirements.(5) Designates and maintains current maintenance priorities by ForceActivity Designator, pacing items, Equipment Readiness Codes (ERC)A, B, and C equipment type, available funds, commander's priority,state/national priorities (in the case of floods, fires, andmobilizations), and unit supported. Using the current automationsupport system, authorizes the acceptance of equipment for repair;monitors work priorities, current status, and completion of workorders; requisitions and provides status of repair parts; andassures the effective utilization of maintenance personnel. Providesboth standard and ad hoc reports on the status of work orders to thesupervisor and/or units. Assists supervisory personnel regardingreadiness, CL IX funding, production problems and work planning.Assists in the resolution of problems encountered between scheduledor unscheduled production or priority requirements.(6) Analyzes repair methods and develops control procedures andpolicies to assure accomplishment of programs to meet priorities anddeadlines established by higher authority or support activities.Ensures that this is performed in the most effective and efficientmanner possible with good quality control and quality assuranceprocedures in place. Coordinates with units and other supportactivities concerning the delivery, status of repair operations,and/or pick up of completed work orders. Coordinates with logisticalpersonnel, equipment specialists, higher ranked managementofficials, item managers at depots concerning critical shortages ofrepair parts required to support the maintenance repair program.(7) Provides technical guidance and oversight to a lower-gradedProduction Controller. May provide guidance and oversight ofmechanics, Tools and Parts Attendants, or other positions assistingin the maintenance production or maintenance management processes.Ensures necessary maintenance workers are available and thatrequired reports are submitted to units and higher headquarters in atimely manner.(8) Performs other duties as assigned.Travel RequiredOccasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.Supervisory statusNoPromotion Potential9

                • This position is temporary, NTE 30 Sep 2020 unless funding isavailable and extension is approved by HR, or the positionconverts to permanent status. Experience, education or training whichindicates the candidate can reason in quantitative terms,communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner,understanding the terminology and data pertaining to repairoperations and process characteristics of the production activityalong with the detailed specialized experience related to thisposition.A review of your qualifications will be conducted to determine ifyou are qualified for this job.
