Grade: C44- C45
C44: $34.25- $47.95/ hour ($71,233- $99,726 annual); C45: $37.44-
$52.42 ($77,881- $109,033 annual), dependent on qualifications and
based on State of Oregon defined bona fide factors in accordance
with Oregon's Pay Equity Act.
*Relocation reimbursement for actual costs up to $5,000 may be
available if incumbent is relocating greater than 100 miles.
Overview of Position:
The City of Springfield has an exciting new position in our
Engineering Division to lead the Field Construction program for
projects in the public right-of-way, including public and private
development, with a primary focus on construction inspection and
project process. The Construction Associate Manager will spend most
of their time in the field providing day-to-day supervision for
construction engineering staff, performing inspections and related
technical functions as a working supervisor. This position will
support our construction projects by leading the inspection team,
training inspectors, working closely with design engineers, manage
schedules and budgets and work to help achieve Federal
certification for federally funded transportation projects

Training & Experience:
The City will consider any equivalent combination of knowledge,
skills, education, and experience to meet minimum qualifications.
Such a way to meet minimum qualifications could include:
Construction Associate Manager I (C44):
--- Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering Management or a
related field and 0-2 years of experience in construction
inspection, and;
--- Minimum of 1-2 years supervisory experience required
Construction Associate Manager II (C45):
--- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field and
3-5 years of experience in construction inspection, and;
--- Minimum of 1-2 years supervisory experience required
--- Construction Associate Manager II requires registration as a
Professional Civil Engineer in the State of Oregon
License & Certifications:
--- Oregon Driver's license by time of appointment
Selection and Interview Process:
Top candidates will be invited to interview, and candidates will be
