WE'RE HIRING!Pay rate: beginning at $20.78 per hour with the chance to increase the pay rate depending on performance.Benefits:401K match (dollar for dollar)Medical - only 1 plan - with Health Savings Account.Dental and vision availableCritical Illness Insurance is available.Life InsuranceKey AccountabilitiesKey Sanitary Spare Parts InventoryChemical InventoryFacility SanitationMaster Sanitation ScheduleOptimize Chemical UsageChemical Room OrganizationCore Responsibilities:Promote Safety, Health, and Environmental programs to ensure workforce stability, eliminating losses attributable to personal injury or property.Always follow Good Manufacturing and individual personal hygiene practices.Follow all safety procedures and policies and report any unsafe or unsanitary conditions immediately to supervisor on duty. Ensures proper safety procedures are utilized by sanitation employees. Ensure GMPs and chemical usage guidelines are being followed by all employees.Knowing and following sanitation schedule to ensure sanitation tasks are completed on time.Cleaning/sanitizing processing parts equipment and facilities sanitation.Clean/sanitize associated equipment during or between uses.Tracking sanitation-related schedules.Ensure Master Sanitation is complete.Assist with machinery set-ups and tear downs.Verifying chemical concentrations used for sanitizing equipment are accurate and adequate.Preparation, testing and maintenance of chemicals used for foot bath sanitizers and other chemical baths.Maintain inventory and adequately stock hand washing stations and sanitation related products (soap, paper towels, gloves, tools, etc.), empty plant trash containers.Complete proper documentation of sanitation activities.Assist in the introduction, training, and evaluation process for all new and current employees. Instructs and coaches employees to properly use protective equipment. Responsible for taking necessary action on all food safety and quality problems reported or observed.Report observed performance and behavioral issues to the supervisor.Assist Quality Assurance Department in updating SSOPs and sanitation programs.Continuously Identify opportunities to improve sanitation efficiencies.Recognize and report exemplary behavior.Make recommendations, when appropriate, with regards to cleaning and sanitizing procedures, materials and methods to Production and Quality Assurance.Monitor process conditions and operational activities and proposes corrective action as needed to ensure operation of the process in a cost effective and efficient manner. Effectively communicate with crews, Shift Coordinators and Team Supervisors.Promote and develop a positive work environment consistent with Company values.Qualified candidates will have:Mechanical aptitude required.Must be able to work independently (without direct supervision).Prefer previous sanitation and / or production-related experience but not required; on-the-job training provided.Forklift Certification (must obtain within first 90 days)Ability to work weekends.Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills are essential.Must be able to follow instructions and accurately complete documentation in a timely matter.Decision making ability, planning and time management skills: Skills needed to best perform a task, manage their time, use appropriate equipment, and efficiently deal with a problem should one arise.Skills needed to carry out daily tasks and to be prepared for any unexpected changes that may occur with scheduling.Proven ability to be a self-starter and takes responsibility for personal actions, decisions, and results.
