Job Description:


Mulesoft Middleware Engineer will be responsible for partnering with IT teams to manage data integration between internal systems and cloud application with Mulesoft and monitoring data flows to and from different platforms. The ideal candidate will be a technically savvy and demonstrate experience in implementing multiple technical integration project SDLCs.  They will have the ability to build, modify and maintain new and existing integration flows while developing any proposed changes to the platform 

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the overall Mulesoft platform at the client and continuing development and enhancement of current integrations
  • Research data questions that arise from regular usage of the platform
  • Provide support on calculations/logic to address any questions that arise
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and competing priorities
  • Partner with IT teams to manage data integration between internal systems and cloud systems
  • Expand options and bring on new sources when needed
  • Identify and formalize best practices in Mulesoft and share them across IT platforms
  • Participate and/or lead UAT testing and deployment
  • Maintain and update integration to support new business objectives and initiatives
  • High attention to detail is critical
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently
  • Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely and ensures others are informed
  • Ability to prioritize to ensure work is done in a timely, high quality manner
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities of the business and seek out ways to develop new skills
  • Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
    • Three to six years minimum hands-on development experience implementing integration solutions
    • Demonstrated experience implementing multiple technical integration project SDLCs (Software Development Life Cycle) end-to-end
    • Working knowledge of on-premise infrastructure and cloud-based deployments and configurations along with monitoring and management
    • Possess excellent verbal, written, and facilitation skills to convey business and technical requirements upwards and downwards
    • Ability to multi-task and implement several integration projects/initiatives successfully
    • Integration and interface architecture experience with:
      • MuleSoft or other solutions (e.g., IBM, BEA, Oracle Fusion, TIBCO, Dell Boomi, Progress Sonic, Apigee)
      • Experience with API Management solutions (Apigee, Mashery, etc) or adhering policies to APIs
      • One or more on-premise / SaaS packaged COTS (Commercial Off-the-Shelf) solutions for ERP, CRM, e-Commerce, or mobile (e.g. Salesforce.com, JD Edwards, WorkDay, Anaplan etc.)
    • Experience designing public and private enterprise secure services using RAML and/or REST based APIs
    • Experience in completing technical design documentation and technical reference materials for client/internal consumption
    • Experience with system design, testing, implementation, and end user support/training
    • Experience and knowledge of best practices on Source Control and CI/CD pipelines for integration projects
    • Experience in implementation of various integration design patterns, including synchronous and asynchronous patterns


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Tomcat, XML, JMS, WS-*, SOA integration, API Management technologies and standards as well as DevOps (Docker, Kubernetes) and/or Security (Ping Federate & OAUTH2 & SAML, Open AM) is a plus
  • Experience with Windows basics, SQL
  • Experience with JMS based Messaging technologies
  • Demonstrated technical solutions hands-on development for on-premise and SaaS applications using JEE and JSE frameworks
  • Knowledge in MuleSoft Dataweave, MEL (Mule Expression Language), Maven, Anypoint Connector projects
  • Experience developing, profiling, and troubleshooting Java application code and automated testing tools
  • Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and API-Led Strategy development
  • Agile implementation experience preferred
