Must-Have: Comfortable performing portable x-rays, routine x-ray
exams, operating c-arm x-ray equipment, and assisting in
fluoroscopy Description: 40 hours per week for 1 year. First-time
travelers are welcome. The schedule is Thursday and Friday from
11:00 to 23:30, and Saturday and Sunday from 15:00 to 23:30. The
position will not float between units. On-call required 2-4 days
per month from Wednesday 17:00 to 06:15. Weekends are required on
Saturday and Sunday from 15:00 to 23:30. Block schedules are
required. Expected ratios are 1:1. Technologists must be
comfortable performing portable x-rays and routine x-ray exams in
the department. They should also be skilled in operating c-arm
x-ray equipment during surgery and assisting in fluoroscopy, which
is performed in a limited capacity during these shifts. Staff may
float within the facility. Mandatory to commit to working 3 out of
5 holidays. RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted
upfront during application. Refusal to float may result in
termination of the assignment. Candidates are required to provide 2
supervisory references covering the past year prior to start.
Charting experience with specific software is required. Experience
within the last 3 years is necessary. Travelers may be expected to
float between nearby facilities. If required, communication devices
will be supplied. All modules must be completed prior to start and
annually. Time spent on modules is self-reported.
