Job Description:
As a Senior Fleet Mechanic at US Foods, you'll play a critical
role in maintaining and repairing the vehicles that are essential
to our operations. Positioned at the forefront of our distribution
network, you will ensure that our fleet remains operational and
efficient, supporting our mission to deliver high-quality products
to our customers timely. Working within a dynamic team, your
expertise in automotive mechanics will contribute directly to the
seamless delivery of over 350,000 foodservice products nationwide.
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on various types of
fleet vehicles. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and
hydraulic systems on fleet vehicles. Conduct annual inspections and
prepare vehicles for DOT compliance and safety. Maintain accurate
records of all service and repair work. Order parts and manage
inventory for vehicle maintenance. Collaborate with the logistics
and distribution teams to optimize vehicle availability. Advanced
knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulic systems Proficiency with
diagnostic software and tools for vehicle repair Strong
problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work
independently and manage time effectively Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k ASE Certification
(Automotive Service Excellence) Valid Commercial Driver’s License
(CDL) is preferred
