Sysco, a global leader in the food service industry, seeks a dedicated and dynamic Driver Supervisor to join our logistics team. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient and timely delivery of food products to a diverse range of customers including restaurants, healthcare facilities, educational institutions, and hospitality entities. The successful candidate will oversee our fleet operations, ensuring safety compliance, optimizing routes, and maintaining the highest standards of customer satisfaction. Manage and mentor a team of drivers to ensure adherence to delivery schedules and routing while optimizing costs and maintaining service quality. Monitor and enforce safety procedures and compliance with regulatory requirements. Coordinate maintenance and repairs of vehicles to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency. Analyze delivery processes and recommend improvements based on trends and performance metrics. Handle crisis management, resolving any delivery or scheduling conflicts swiftly to minimize impact on service. Cultivate a positive work environment with a strong focus on teamwork and proactive communication. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and training to team members. Strong leadership and people management skills. Excellent organizational and strategic planning abilities. Proficiency in logistics software and GPS tracking systems. Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or equivalent is advantageous.
