Job Description Job Description Job Summary Our busy
multi-season rustic lodge and lake resort, featuring rental cabins,
a campground, and marina is seeking mutliple hard-working,
self-motivated people to join our resort operations team. The ideal
candidates for this position are enthusiastic and driven to “exceed
customer expectations” while ensuring the resort is maintained to
the highest standards and our guests have an amazing experience
with us. Those with previous industry experience at a company or
organization that serves residential clients and/or resort guests,
and a “whatever it takes” attitude are encouraged to apply. This is
a great opportunity for a motivated professional who wants steady
employment in the resort industry. The operations team is
responsible for overseeing all lodge’s operations and maintenance,
ensuring a seamless and exceptional guest experience. Must be
willing to work varied, longer hours in a more remote lake area
approximately 30 minutes from Bend, OR. Key Responsibilities Assist
guests during check-in and check-out with luggage, directions, etc
Ensure resort events (weddings, concerts, private events) are
properly set-up and broken down and proceed without issue. Maintain
outdoor campsites, RV sites, and camping cabins Ensure the safety
and security of guests, employees, and other visitors. Ensure
resort property (lodge, marina, cabin areas) are clean and
maintained to resort standards Handling deliveries, transporting,
and managing the flow of materials and products within the resort.
Identify and report any issues to management. Collect resort
garbage from designated areas as needed. Assist as required with
other maintenance, construction, landscaping, repairs or projects.
Leave the resort better than you found it each day! Parking Handle
parking payment, efficient parking of cars, and provide directions
to guests Maintain and communicate inventory to the parking kiosk.
Marina Operate Marina rentals each day including cleaning, staging
handling payments and tear down. Ensure guests paperwork is in
order, provide tutorials and transition guests’ to/from their
equipment. Ensure all motorized and non-motorized watercraft are
ready, clean and in working order. Report any issues (mechanical or
safety) to the Operations manager. Respond to customer complaints
or inquiries immediately. Additional Duties Due to the dynamic
nature of the resort, employees are expected to assist others as
needed and take on additional tasks as assigned by management.
Follow all company, resort, and department policies, procedures,
and instructions. Represent the company's management team by
supporting and enforcing policies while maintaining the highest
standards of ethics and integrity. Maintain a high level of
professionalism and a commitment to excellence in interactions with
guests, colleagues, and staff. Promote and follow safe working
practices, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and
encouraging others to do the same. Take the initiative in personal
and professional growth and maintain any required certifications
relevant to your role. Address and resolve challenges using
available resources. Support the overall efficiency of the team by
collaborating and contributing to the resort’s goals.
Qualifications High school diploma/GED. Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work flexible hours, which might include nights and
weekends. Strong people skills and the ability work as an
individual or as a team member Ability to remain calm and friendly
when confronted with upset guests. Ability to adapt to changing
working conditions. Must develop good working knowledge of the
entire resort, its facilities and activities. Must be capable of
lifting personal watercraft (SUP, kayaks, canoes). Knowledge of
motorboats is a plus. Physical Requirements Must be able to stand,
walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods. Ability
to work in varying temperatures and environments, with potential
exposure to dust, fumes, or gases. Capable of climbing ladders,
squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, twisting, bending, and
folding/unfolding as required. Able to lift, carry, push, and pull
up to 100 lbs. occasionally. Effective communication skills,
including talking and hearing, with sufficient visual acuity. Work
Schedule Attendance requirements for this position as outlined on
the weekly schedule, which could include weekends and holidays.
