Physician Contracting Coordinator

PeaceHealth is seeking a Physician Contracting Coordinator for a 1.0 full time equivalent Non-Exempt position. This position will be working Day shift with shift durations of 8 Hours. Req ID: 167046 JOB SUMMARY Supports network leadership by compiling data for the completion of fair market value analysis, comparison to other networks, and negotiation for non-employed medical director agreements. Prepares agenda for the bi-monthly Non-Employed Physician Contracting Committee meetings. Coordinates the processing of contracts within PeaceHealth and maintains contract database in compliance with applicable PeaceHealth policies and procedures. Supports the System Director, Physician Contracting by providing data to support the decision-making process for physician contracting, including physician compensation models, call and coverage contracts, and medical director agreements. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Compiles data in support of financial analysis for business, legal and compliance aspects of non-employed medical director agreements and non-hospital based non-employed professional service agreements. Collaborates with various fair market value consultants to ensure requested data analysis and costs for doing so are within PeaceHealth guidelines. Participates with network leadership in negotiation of non-employed medical director agreements and provides data as requested. Assists with the implementation of contract procedures and other efficiency tools through the electronic contract process management system and the fair market value electronic database tool. Supports network leadership and contract coordinators with contract intake and workflows and assists with obtaining required review and approvals as part of the electronic contract process management system. Enters contract data into the fair market value electronic database and prepares reports as needed. Supports the negotiation, analysis, and implementation of non-employed physician contract agreements. Facilitates the approval process of non-employed physician agreements, from pre-contract through post-signature phases. Develops improvements to and maintains the process to ensure monthly payments are made to contract physicians and monthly time logs are received, completed and comply with established duties outlined in physician contract. Coordinates with operations and revenue cycle staff to ensure alignment between physician contracted work, actual work done, and billing. Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education, training and experience preferred. EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: Minimum of three years of experience in healthcare business applications or contracts/legal department required. OTHER SKILLS: Familiarity and experience with legal documents and contract language. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to work independently, to manage multiple priorities and projects and display flexibility in a fast paced and changing work environment. Detail oriented. Proficient in Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with contract management tools, templates, methods and processes. Ability to manage and prioritize projects in a cross-functional matrix environment. Strong project management skills.
