This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment covering Pre-Op, PACU, and Recovery phases within a collaborative team, providing care for a variety of cases including general surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, and specialty areas such as hand, podiatry, eye, and ENT procedures. Key Responsibilities: Provide perioperative nursing care across Pre-Op, PACU, and OR Recovery settings, rotating between departments as needed. Manage patient assessments and monitoring during Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery, interpreting cardiac rhythms and responding to critical changes promptly. Collaborate closely with charge nurses, unit managers, and medical assistants to ensure smooth patient admissions, discharges, and transitions. Support patient care for 5-30 surgeries daily across multiple operating and endoscopy suites. Utilize Meditech EMR and paper charting systems accurately for documentation. Qualifications & Experience: Registered Nurse (RN) with current certification or eligibility; Oregon RN license not required at submissionfacility will assist in obtaining a 90-day Emergency License. Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred. Experience in perioperative nursing with Meditech EMR strongly preferred. Ability to work in fast-paced environments, read and interpret cardiac rhythms independently, and float between units. Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery nursing experience essential. Schedule & Work Environment: 5-8 hour shifts between 0600-1800, Monday through Friday. Schedule determined by the manager; flexibility is encouraged to cover staffing needs. No weekend, night, or holiday call requirements. Scrubs provided.
