Radiation Therapist Location: Salem, OR Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,718 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: Radiation Oncology Therapist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Radiation Therapist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 06:00 - 19:30 Experience: Minimum of one (1) year Radiation Therapy experience License: State licensure required Certifications: ARRT, Basic Life Support Must-Have: Successful completion of a Radiation Therapy program required Basic operations of Linear Accelerators; Varian TrueBeam, Trilogy, Acuity, and GE Lightspeed CT preferred Experience in SBRT, SRS, and Breathhold Visual Management Ability to work in a fast-paced environment treating 70-95 patients per day on three treatment machines Description: Simulate and administer radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist and as directed by the Radiation Physicist and Dosimetrist. Interpret the prescription and treatment plan. Complete Patient Identification processes per department procedure. Maintain audio and visual surveillance of the patient during treatment. Consistently and accurately position the patient for treatment. Image patients as directed by the Radiation Oncologist. Consistently and accurately annotate portal images as appropriate. Observe patients for side effects of radiation, changes in behavior, or unusual reactions and report observations to the Radiation Oncologist, nurse, or supervisor. Use a digital camera to document treatment position and tattoos or field borders on patients’ skin. Safely transfer patients from stretcher or wheelchair using proper body mechanics and transfer techniques. Perform simple RadCalc calculations for emergency treatments. Construct quality immobilization devices that promote reproducible patient positioning. Accurately and visibly tattoo patients as appropriate and practice safe handling of needles. Participate in daily chart rounds to coordinate patient care. Complete chart checks per department policy. Complete weekly room cleaning and HEPA filter checks, and document appropriately. Accurately fabricate custom blocks. Coordinate simulation with the clinic to support continuity of care. Requirements Required for Onboarding BLS
