Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Certified Surgical
Technologist (CST) Full-Time Evenings Industry: Healthcare / Health

Position Summary: Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the
CST assists the physician performing surgical procedures by
establishing and maintaining a sterile field, setting up equipment,
scrubbing in, and handing instruments and supplies to the surgeon.
The CST also helps prepare the patient for transport out of the OR
and assists with cleaning and setting up the OR for the next
procedure. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Function as a
scrub tech before, during, and after surgical procedures. Establish
and maintain a sterile field. Prepare procedure-specific
instruments and equipment; ensure all supplies are available. Pass
instruments and supplies to the surgeon. Manage medications on the
sterile field. Operate laser equipment and manage chest/wound
drainage. Handle anatomical and body fluid specimens. Care for
staples and sutures; apply dressings. Perform surgical instrument
and supply counts. Assist with patient transport and OR preparation
for the next case. Participate in on-call rotation, including
nights, weekends, and holidays. Skills and Abilities: Ability to
function appropriately in emergencies or crises. Strong attention
to detail and organizational skills. Effective communication and
teamwork. Consistent punctual attendance. Education /
Certifications / Licenses: Mandatory: Certified Surgical
Technologist (CST) Mandatory: American Heart Association Basic Life
Support (BLS) Oregon state license (if applicable) Experience:
Entry-level acceptable (less than 1 year experience). Preferred:
recent experience (within 2 years) in an acute hospital operating
room. Additional Information: Full-time position with benefits.
Relocation assistance possible for ideal candidate. Interview
travel may be reimbursed. Must be within 20 minutes of the hospital
for on-call rotation.
