Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a
Neuro ICU night shift position with trauma and Epic experience
required. Responsibilities Work in the Neuro Trauma Intensive Care
Unit of a Level II Trauma hospital Night shift schedule: 3x12 hours
from 19:00 to 07:30 Patient ratios are 1:2 in a fast-paced,
high-acuity ICU environment Caring for patients with diverse
diagnoses including neuro, trauma, cardiac, and complex medical
conditions Specialized procedures include chest tube and central
line insertion, bedside tracheostomy, post-cardiac arrest care, and
hypothermia protocols Common equipment used includes PA catheters,
Impella, ventilators, CRRT, IABP, and Arctic Sun pads Epic EMR
experience is required Floating required to CVICU, NTICU,
telemetry, acute care, surgical, ortho/med, observation, and ED
boarding units Responsibilities include comprehensive care for
neuro and trauma ICU patients, advanced monitoring, and management
of complex medical devices Expected to float between various
critical care and med/surg units as assigned, with a 4-hour
orientation provided for new units Flexibility to work weekends and
holidays based on unit needs is required Scrub color is open to any
color and not provided by facility Return travelers must have a
one-year separation from the system before reapplying COVID-19
vaccination required for consideration Free parking available on
site Requirements Active OR RN license required (will accept proof
of application for temp/perm licensure) Minimum 2 years of recent
Neuro Trauma or ICU experience preferred; may consider 1 year if
from a large facility Prior travel assignments (2-3 completed
preferred); no first-time travelers Certifications required: BLS,
ACLS, and NIHSS all active before start date Preferred but not
required: TNCC/TCAR, CCRN, CSC, SCRN, TCRN Strong skills in trauma,
multi-system organ failure, cardiac intervention, advanced airway
and ventilator management, and interpreting dysrhythmias Recent
Epic proficiency required No local candidates within 60 miles
