Job Title: MRI Technologist Profession: Diagnostic Imaging Specialty: MRI Technologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday – Friday Hours per Shift: 8 am – 5 pm Experience: Two (2) or more years of successful work within a Radiology Department in the role of a dedicated MRI Technologist. License: Current Magnetic Resonance Imaging license issued by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging. Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to complete BLS certification within 90 days of hire. Must-Have: ARMRIT or ARRT-MRI eligible. Description: The MRI Technologist is responsible for operating a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies. The MRI Technologist will also train additional MRI staff. The MRI Technologist will participate and maintain a culture consistent with service and behavioral standards. The MRI Technologist will select appropriate imaging techniques via the operator's console and peripheral hardware. The MRI Technologist will maintain a safe working environment for patients and staff. The MRI Technologist will enter and monitor patient data. The MRI Technologist will perform image exams accurately to demonstrate required patient anatomy. The MRI Technologist will assist in training additional MRI staff and MRI support staff. The MRI Technologist will maintain up-to-date knowledge of MRI procedures and protocols. The MRI Technologist will assist with scheduling patient exams as needed. The position requires thorough knowledge of human anatomy, positioning, and MRI exam protocols. The MRI Technologist must be able to work compatibly with physicians, patients, and other staff.
