Description: Job Summary: A leading healthcare organization is
seeking a skilled and dependable Phlebotomist to join its
Laboratory Services team. The Phlebotomist will be responsible for
the collection, labeling, and processing of specimens, primarily
blood samples, from hospital inpatients, emergency department
patients, and outpatients. This position plays a key role in
supporting accurate diagnosis and effective treatment by ensuring
high-quality specimen collection and patient care.
Responsibilities: Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures on
patients of all age groups with care and precision Accurately label
and process specimens for laboratory analysis Ensure proper
identification of patients and specimens in accordance with policy
Maintain detailed records of collections and any patient
interactions Collaborate with clinical staff to support timely and
accurate specimen delivery Follow infection control and safety
procedures at all times Provide high-quality, compassionate care
while maintaining patient confidentiality May assist in
transporting specimens and performing clerical duties within the
laboratory Core Competencies: BLS Certification: Healthcare
Provider Level BLS – required Completion of an approved Phlebotomy
Training Program or One (1) year of recent phlebotomy experience –
required Phlebotomist Certification – preferred Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail
and accuracy in labeling and documentation Ability to work
efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
