Skills REQ:
-Previous Trauma experience.
-Interpretation and Management of dysrhythmias, Multi-system organ
failure
-Thermoregulation: hypothermia/hyperthermia, Pre/Post Cardiac
Cath/intervention, IV insulin protocols, Chronic/Acute Renal
failure, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration,
Central line care/management, PICC line management, Starting IVs,
Continuous IV sedation, Emergency Medications, Procedural Sedation
Administration, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips,
Hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, Assist with management of BiPAP,
Assist with management of CPAP, Assist with Chest Tube
Insertion/Removal, Care of Ventilated Patient, High Flow Nasal
Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of ABGs, Suctioning (ETT, NT),
Ventilator Management
Years of Experience REQ: 2 years experience preferred. Will
consider 1 year if recently in a large facility.
Epic Experience REQ? Recent Epic experience is required.
First-Timers Accepted: No, Would prefer an experienced traveler
with 2-3 prior completed assignments
Weekend REQ: must be flexible, scheduled based on unit needs
Certs REQ: BLS, ACLS, TNCC/TCAR, NIHSS are required. CCRN, CSC,
SCRN and TCRN are preferred. Must have in hand before start
date.
Yes, Travelers float between CVICU and NTICU. Also float to
Telemetry, Acute Care (neurology, Surgical, Ortho/Med) Obs, ED
boarding; Float in turns - will have 4 hour orientation
