Job Title: Medical Billing Specialist
Employment: 40 hours/1.0 FTE: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Mon - Fri
Overtime Status: non-exempt
Starting rate: $18 - $22/hour

Job Summary:
Researches and resolves outstanding patient account balances, communicating clearly with insurance companies, patients, co-workers and supervisors. Ensures record accuracy, follows up and makes necessary revisions. Reviews and verifies medical bills and invoices with accounts receivable ledger and patients. Answers patient questions regarding insurance, provides financial counseling, provides estimates and assists patients in enrolling in financial assistance plans.

Experience/Qualifications:
Medical billing: 1-3 years (preferred)

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Completion of courses in Medical Terminology preferred
