Hello, Our very busy clinic in Springfield is in need of a full-time Restorative Expanded Functions Dental Hygienist (EFRDH). We have a great team in place and are ready to add another member to our dental family. We need the help of expanded functions dental hygienist with our quickly growing patient base and to help keep our team work culture going! Our team works hard and provides services to our neighborhood and communities. We provide treatment, pediatric coronal polishing, sedation, scaling, ultrasonic cleanings, digital x-rays, orthodontics and surgery. It's a very rewarding, fast paced and diverse environment. We have a very full schedule and hours are never an issue. We know working with kids equates to crying but our clinics do not push treatment. You might just be surprised how fun it is :) Our ideal candidate will be able to provide: Excellent chair side manner with great communication skills Team environment with pride and a positive attitude that makes everyone feel special; Must be gentle, compassionate, and considerate with our patients and their families; Accurately assess and document in charts the observed classifications of bites, oral hygiene assessments, space loss and other oral conditions in the mouth; Accurately chart patient care given, diagnosis, instructions and follow up with attention to detail; Identify factors contributing to poor oral health i.e. diet, medication, decay or disease; Provide comprehensive dental hygiene care at a high level; Support and promote restorative and preventative needs of the patient; Job Duties Include but are not limited to: Place and shape direct restorations; Class I and Class II; Cement indirect and provisional restorations for temporary use; Place temporary and sedative restorative material in hand excavated carious lesions and unprepared tooth fractures; Take impressions for TPA, Nance, LLHA, Herbst, and Space Maintainers; Place Separators; Fit and shape stainless steel crowns on primary teeth, to be cemented by a licensed dentist; Fit and shape band and loops for space maintainers; Remove orthodontic bracket and band cement; Remove subgingival calculus with a cavitron; Recement temporary or permanent crowns with temporary cement under general supervision in a situation that a licensed dentist deems it to be an emergency; Apply pit and fissure sealants without mechanical alteration of the tooth. Required Certifications: Expanded Function Dental Hygienist: Restorative, Nitrous Certification & Sealants. Valid CPR Certification We also offer continuing education opportunities, Monthly trainings, OSHA and CPR certification in office. Benefits & Compensation: Guaranteed Full-Time hours Competitive hourly; Starting $40 - $45 based on experience and performance after 90 days.
