experience in federal contracting. WFS has borrowing capacity to
meet the daily cash needs of new business development, new award
support, and operational working capital. WFS is well-versed in
federal contract compliance and providing outstanding support
services Position Summary This position will support the
Engineering Group by performing design work, evaluating and
optimizing existing systems, troubleshooting systems, and working
closely with fellow site operations personnel. Responsibilities:
Independently lead design/build projects across all 3 NETL sites.
Design instrumentation, control, and data acquisition systems for
continuous process systems ranging from lab to pilot-scale
projects. This includes selecting logic solvers, HMIs, and field
instruments, low-voltage electrical design, and logic diagram
development. Configure, troubleshoot, and test single- and
multiple-loop controllers, programmable logic controllers,
distributed control systems, and human-machine interface software.
Oversee the optimization of current processes and control systems
to ensure systems are finely tuned and working at optimum levels.
Lead commissioning, shakedown, and testing activities on new or
modifications to electrical and control systems in the laboratories
Efficiently use Autodesk AutoCAD to prepare engineering drawings,
including but not limited to electrical power plans, Process and
Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), network diagrams, control
panel fabrication drawings, wiring diagrams, and I/O drawings per
NFPA 70 National Electric Code. Review interdisciplinary
engineering documents and work with other members of the
engineering team to resolve any issues. Create productive
relationships with organizations within and external to the
Engineering Group. Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and
Abilities: Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent education) in
an appropriate engineering discipline or the sciences from a
four-year accredited college or university or Bachelor of Science
degree in Engineering Technology and a Professional Engineering
License. 0 – 15 years of professional experience. Good oral and
written communication skills, working knowledge of word-processing
and integrated software applications, organizational skills, and
the ability to perform detail-oriented work are required. Ability
to pass a pre-employment drug screen Ability to pass a background
investigation, including but not limited to a nationwide criminal
record search, and other relevant background information deemed
necessary by the contract United States citizenship is required to
work on a federal contract and will be electronically verified via
E-Verify Physical Requirements: Travel Requirements: Travel to
Pittsburgh, PA, Morgantown, WV, or Albany, OR NETL site may be
