Our customers and community members know they can rely on us to be the total source of home building supplies and solutions with legendary customer service and quality products.Job title: Contractor SalesBase Salary: Starting at $58k to $74k a year, depending on experience + CommissionSchedule: Monday-Friday 8am to 5pmLocation: Bend, OregonThe Contractor Salesperson executes all aspects of our sales call process and strategies, with primary focus on aggressive prospecting of new residential and commercial contractors. They will facilitate and coordinate business activities of accounts and executing PARR Sales initiatives. This position is responsible for cultivating relationships with builders and general contractors which supports our vision to be the supplier of choice for all building material products in the Northwest.Directly reports to Division Sales Manager. Interacts daily with yard managers & employees (in store and outside yard) and customers. Interacts regularly with corporate employees (Central Purchasing Department, Account Management Team, Human Resources Department, and IT Department.) Interacts regularly with vendor representatives and industry associates.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED equivalent2 years sales experience preferredPrior experience in the building materials industry preferredMust have good driving record and ability to maintain the sameMust be able to operate personal computer, smartphone, scanner, and any other equipment necessary for the jobMust be able to type 30+ WPMProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookAbility to speak, write, and read English requiredClass C Driver's License or reliable alternative transportationKnowledge of building materials and their usesProven ability to develop relationships that translate into new business for PARRKnowledge of PARR purchasing principles, practices, and protocolsBeing prepared for individual and group sales meetingsAbility to meet or exceed aggressive sales goalsDuties and ResponsibilitiesAbility to achieve aggressive sales goals and objectivesAbility to work unsupervised and a desire for high level of responsibilityAbility to prioritize work and manage time effectivelyAbility to implement PARR's sales strategies and processesAbility to support PARR purchasing principles practices and protocolsAbility to aggressively pursue company's best interest when selling to customersStrong interpersonal communication skills and experience dealing with customers expectedAbility to be flexible and adaptable to daily changing needs/demands of the PARR and its customersMust be flexible to different personality types and work habits, knowing that goals may be achieved in different waysAbility to concentrate and attend to detail amidst a busy office environmentWillingness to share department responsibilities to meet deadlinesPerform other related duties as assignedThe working conditions for the contractor sales position are divided between time in an office with a desk and being out interacting with potential and current customers.Physical RequirementsAbility to sit and/or stand for extended periods of timeAbility to work indoors in a normal office environment for an entire dayMust be able to grasp, talk, hear, and operate a computer and keyboardMust be able to occasionally lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds and carry objects 50 feetMust be able to work outdoors in all weather conditionsMust be able to drive a vehicle with clean driving recordBoth local and overnight travel may be requiredWe know that without great people, we can't be a great company.
